If you’re in the mood for soaking up some sun,
and you reckon the beach could be a bit of fun.
Then Semaphore is a place that you might like,
although for some it’s a bit of a hike.
There is a new eatery which is all the rage,
It is a good place to dine at any age.
Lickerish is the place of that I speak,
For food in this area it couldn’t be beat.
For day time dining right through to the night,
They will serve you a meal that is sure to delight.
On our arrival I could see the décor,
Was trendy and classy, could one ask for more?
With small plates and big plates and pizza’s to share,
We relaxed on the balcony without a single care.
We ordered the lil’ piggy, the name suits us well,
A pork belly pizza which in love we fell.
With pumpkin, apple and shallots it did come,
when the last slice was had we all felt a tad glum.
The staff were kind but their service a smidge weak,
A long wait is had when a second beverage you seek.
But considering this joint only opened in April,
The high quality food and atmosphere is a thrill.
And as we left on that gloriously sunny day,
An acoustic singer was about to play.
‘So off to this place you should go.’ I beseech
What a fantastic eat by the beach!
