I like to consider myself an Adelaide gal who has her finger on the pulse! And the topic of today’s MTC post is a cafe about as new as Demi Moore’s latest plastic surgery. Hot off the press, a mothers milk only opened Wednesday last week and is already a happening place to be round town. Certainly with good reason! I hit up this trendy new hotspot last Sunday and I’ll tell you what, although it was only the second day of serving food, it was delish. I ordered a dish which was essentially sardines on a toasted focaccia, basic but beautifully done with straight-out –the-water freshness. The little time it took me to devour it, was a miniscule fraction of the time it took me to get rid of the aftermath of garlicy fishy breath. Fish breath, what a turn on!
The owner couldn’t be a better advocate for the place. Super friendly, super likeable, super nice guy. In a non-stalker way, I’d pop by there for a coffee just for a chat. The guy got charisma! Certainly makes me feel better about reaching into my sky rocket, when I know the money is going to such a lovely owner.
Now to tell you the truth...YOU CAN’T HANDLE THE TRUTH! ok, ok sorry I’m sure you can. Things did move pretty slowly. But I’m putting that down to first week of operation hitches and it certainly did not taint my overall experience!
What a relaxing way to spend a Sunday lunch! Great Food and great company. I don’t know what I did to get to live this kind of life. I do always say ‘god bless you’ to surrounding sneezers, so maybe that’s it! My advice: get down to 105 Unley Road ay-sap before you have to start hustling for a table. This place is going to start blowing up like a balloon with a grenade in it!
